Backseat Banter

On the way to drop off the kids the other morning, this conversation occurred:

E: Mom, when we get up there on the road, I want to show you something funny.

R: What is it? Is a chicken crossing the road?

Made me laugh out loud :)

Anthropologie/Cosmo Cricket Inspired Layout

My little sister, Jill, would be proud of me. Anthropologie is her favorite store and, as a graphic designer, one of her favorite design inspirations.

Well, Jill - check out my scrapbook layout inspired by Anthro's website.....

Patterned paper: Cosmo Cricket; Cardstock: other;

Title Letters cut from patterned paper: Cosmo Cricket; Journaling Tag: Cosmo Cricket;

Buttons & Embroidery Thread: other

Actually, I can't take credit for being inspired by the Anthro website - it came from this post on the Cosmo Cricket blog. They created the sketch and I had these photos waiting to be scrapped. I've had the Girl Friday paper forever, but since I don't scrap girls very often in my all-boy household, I never had the opportunity to use it. Cutting out the letters individually doesn't look as girly as they did on the paper together, right? It all came together pretty quickly and I LOVE the results.

Some Recent Layouts

I should title this post, "Recent Photos of Old Layouts" since these were probably done sometime late summer/early fall. Oh, well....someday, I'll have time to do everything I want to do in a day :)

Enjoy...

Another Christmas Past

Christmas has come and gone....all that preparation....all that planning...all that fun....gone for another year.

I got the Christmas cards mailed.

I got the Christmas cookies baked ~ and they were some of my best yet, if I do say so myself!

I got the Christmas presents bought and wrapped.

Everything was accomplished.
And great fun was had by all.
I hope you enjoyed the Christmas season with your loved ones as we did.
