FAT P

When I teach kids in writing workshop, I always talk about the FAT P - get your minds out of the gutter - the P has a cute little Piggie face next to it.  Each letter stands for something the kids are supposed to think about before they begin writing...

F = Form ~ what form of writing will this take?
A= Audience ~ who will be reading my writing?
T = Topic ~ what will I write about?
P = Purpose ~ what is my purpose in writing this?

I've been thinking about this in regards to this blog.  On any given day, all of these factors may or may not be different.  One factor that fluctuates is my audience, a.k.a., YOU!

Supposedly, I have 24 followers, over half of which are my family, I'm sure :)

Others are friends, some are acquaintances, some are strangers.

You can't please everyone all the time, so I know that some of my posts might bore you to tears while others you may find quite informative or hilarious!  Hee, hee...

I'm going to be honest....as I write most of my blog posts, I am writing for myself.
And as an extension of myself, my hubby and kids.

We all got such great enjoyment out of reading the old posts together that I have been inspired to start recording our lives again.  The ups, the downs, the funny, the not so funny moments that make up a life.

I hope you enjoy it, too!  And once in a while, a little blog love left in the form of a comment would be greatly appreciated.
